CIVICUS Monitor update on Romania - March 2018
As the EU begins talks on the new Multiannual Financial Framework, Liberties outlines two proposals on how to safeguard European values through the EU's budget. A model for conditionality of European funds and one for a new fund to support pro-EU NGOs.
On 13 February 2018, the Hungarian government tabled to Parliament a pack of three law proposals, also referred to as “Stop Soros”. Liberties supports the alliance of 200 civil society groups and the open letter initiated by Amnesty International.
