Litewski parlament odrzucił kandydaturę Diany Gumbrevičiūtė-Kuzminskienė na stanowisko Rzecznika Praw Obywatelskich ds. Równych Szans. Według posłów, którzy głosowali przeciw, “kandydatka zataiła swoje stały udział w wykładach na temat homoseksualistów”. Uważa się, że prawniczka została odrzucona z powodu swojego otwartego poparcia dla legalizacji związków jednopłciowych. Jako że parlament odrzucił także poprzedniego kandydata, stanowisko Rzecznika pozostaje nieobsadzone już drugi rok z rzędu.
