Holenderski Komitet Prawników Na Rzecz Praw Człowieka (NJCM) pogratulował sędzi Jolien Schukking - członkowi NJCM od 1997 roku - powołania do Europejskiego Trybunału Praw Człowieka. Jolien Schukking jest również członkiem Kolegium NJCM i redaktorem holenderskiego dziennika Journal for Human Rights. NJCM sądzi, że wraz z Schukking ochrona praw człowieka w Europie jest w dobrych rękach. 24 stycznia 2017 roku na sesji plenarnej Rady Europy, Schukking otrzymała 104 spośród 179 głosów.
