Centrum będzie nadzorowało wiele globalnych usług UNICEF-u z zakresu finansów i zasobów ludzkich. Kluczowymi powodami wyboru Budapesztu są m.in. stosunkowo niskie koszty prowadzenia działalności gospodarczej, wysoko wykwalifikowana siła robocza i solidna infrastruktura. “Każdy zaoszczędzony przez UNICEF dolar można wykorzystać na poprawę życia dzieci” - powiedział dyrektor wykonawczy UNICEF, Anthony Lake. Centrum planuje zatrudnić 350 osób, z czego 85% stanowić będą Węgrzy.
