"Przyjaciel sądu" (amicus curiae) to narzędzie prawne, z którego mogą skutecznie korzystać rumuńskie organizacje pozarządowe zajmujące się prawami człowieka. Organizacja APADOR-CH (rumuńska organizacja na rzecz praw człowieka) przełamała lody, stosując amicus curiae w dwóch sprawach dotyczących konstytucyjności prawa, prowadzonych przez Rumuński Trybunał Konstytucyjny. Każda organizacja pozarządowa, posiadająca wiedzę na danym polu, może interweniować w sprawy prowadzone przed trybunałem, przesyłając amicus curiae.
