Po raz drugi w tym miesiącu, w ramach kampanii mailingowej, skrzynki elektroniczne europosłów zostały zapełnione listami od polskich internautów broniących kontrowersyjnej nowelizacji ustawy o IPN. 4 lutego do skrzynek zaczęły trafiać maile z prywatnych adresów, które zawierały apele i linki do orędzia premiera w sprawie nowej ustawy. Wcześniej europosłowie otrzymali wiadomości, których autorzy bronili Ryszarda Czarneckiego, posła do PE z PiS, który nazwał posłankę Różę von Thun und Hohenstein szmalcownikiem.
