Podczas swojej wizyty na przejściach granicznych w obwodach Ignalina i Wilno, sejmowy Rzecznik Praw Obywatelskich, Augistinas Normantas, wykrył poważne narusznia praw człowieka. Okazało się, że detencja zatrzymanych nie jest odnotowywana w odpowiednim rejestrze, a ludzie przetrzymywani na punktach kontroli granicznej nie są informowani o nadzorze wideo tych miejsc. Rzecznik podkreślił jednak, że Straż Graniczna szybko zaregowała na zarzuty - wiele problemów zostanie usuniętych do końca roku, inne do lata 2015 r.
