W liście, który na wniosek Parlamentu, będzie wręczany uchodźcom w momencie ich przybycia, sekretarz stany Dijkhoff nakreślił, co czeka ich w doraźnych schroniskach: spanie w salach sportowych lub namiotach, długi okres oczekiwania na złożenie wniosku o azyl, a - od teraz - brak szans za zjednoczenie z członkami rodziny. Poza tym, osoby ubiegające się o azyl otrzymają także tłumaczenie holenderskiej konstytucji, by “poinformować ich o podstawowych zasadach naszego społeczeństwa”.
