22% procent gejów i 25% lesbijek w Holandii nie czuje się bezpiecznie w swoim sąsiedztwie. Wśród osób heteroseksualnych z problemem takim boryka się 14% mężczyzn i 22% kobiet. Tak wynika ze danych zebranych w 2013 roku i opublikowanych w zeszłym tygodniu przez holenderski Urząd Statystyczny. Geje i lesbijki doświadczają także więcej nieprzyjemności ze strony wałęsającej się młodzieży i lokalnych mieszkańców. Członek Izby Reprezentantów Ahmed Marcouch (Partia Pracy) złożył w tej sprawie interpelację do ministra bezpieczeństwa i sprawiedliwości Ivo Opsteltena.
