Raykov zeznał, że w ubiegłym tygodniu policjanci przybyli do wioski wczesnym popołudniem i bez żadnego powodu zaczęli atakować i bić ludzi znajdujących się na ulicy. Informacje o podobnych incydentach otrzymano także z kilku dzielnic w mieście Warna.
