Z uwagi na fakt, że w 2018 roku Włochy obejma przewodnictwo OBWE, Włoska Koalicja na rzecz Praw Obywatelskich i Swobód (CILD) właśnie dołączyła do Platformy Solidarności Międzynarodowej - sieci ponad 50 organizacji pozarządowych zajmujących się prawami człowieka, które działają w obszarze OBWE - aby wspólnie pracować nad przekonaniem włoskiego rządu do zwrócenia uwagi na kwestie związane z prawami człowieka w krajowym i międzynarodowym programie politycznym.
