Facebook musi przestać śledzić belgijskich internautów, którzy nie mają konta w serwisie i usunąć wszystkie zebrane dotąd dane. Za każdy dzień zwłoki portal będzie musiał zapłacić karę grzywny w wysokości 250 tys. euro. Facebook nie informuje internautów "w wystarczającym stopniu" o tym, w jaki sposób wykorzystuje gromadzone dane, co z nimi robi, ani jak długo je przechowuje - stwierdził sąd. Facebook musi opublikować 84-stronicowe orzeczenie na swojej stronie internetowej i w ciągu trzech miesięcy zamieścić jego fragmenty w belgijskich gazetach - powiedziała rzeczniczka sądu.
