We are pleased to announce that NytEuropa has joined the Civil Liberties Union for Europe (Liberties) as our newest member organisation following approval of the decision at this year’s general assembly meeting.
NytEuropa is a Danish non-profit dedicated to promoting a sustainable and democratic Europe through public engagement, advocacy, and partnerships. The organisation works from the conviction that the EU has a key role to play in securing a greener, more inclusive, and more democratic future.
"Becoming a member of Liberties is deeply meaningful for us, it amplifies our voice in a respected rights network, enables strategic collaboration on rule-of-law monitoring and enforcement, and strengthens our capacity to translate shared values into action across borders. In joining Liberties, we affirm that defending fundamental freedoms is not just a national task, but a collective European responsibility", said Regitze H. Rohlfing, Co-Director of NytEurope.
With NytEuropa’s accession, Liberties now brings together 24 organisations across 21 EU Member States, working collectively to defend human rights, the rule of law, media freedom, and democratic participation across Europe in Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Croatia, Denmark, Estonia, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain and Sweden.
Liberties is a Berlin-based civil rights organisation campaigning with its members in Brussels and across the EU. We publish the most comprehensive independent report on the rule of law, most recently the Rule of Law Report 2025, as well as our annual Media Freedom Report, alongside leading campaigns on digital rights, electoral integrity, political advertising and online privacy.
