The Greek government has announced that by the end of September it will move 2,000 asylum seekers from its widely criticised and overcrowded Moria camp. The announcement came ahead of the informal EU summit in Salzburg where one of the main items on the agenda is migration. The Moria camp was built for 3,100 inhabitants but around 9,000 people currently call it home. Greece wants to examine the asylum requests of those to be moved later this month. Recently, over a dozen human rights organisations have urged Greece to take action to render its camps fit for human habitation.
