Despite the insistence of the Council of Ministers that Minister of Defense Krassimir Karakachanov dismiss the head of the Social Policy Department, Ivo Antonov, Karakachanov is refusing to do so. The officer in question is well known for the infamous photo of him giving a Nazi salute, as well as his Facebook posts showing sympathy for the Third Reich. The defense minister, however, continues to refuse the dismissal and has even moved Antonov to the office next to his, which until now had belonged to the first deputy minister of defense.
