UK based charity The Loop, has opened the UK's first ever drug safety testing facility in Bristol after successfully applying the model at festivals. The aim is to reduce harm among recreational drug users. The new scheme, which is supported by police and the local council, follows other European countries, where drugs can be tested anonymously without users having to worry about being prosecuted. Along with testing the safety of drugs, The Loop gives users a 15 minutes drug counselling aiming informed choices and harm reduction.
