Translink, compagnia che gestisce le carte chip di trasporto pubblico in Olanda, ha passato centinaia di dati privati di studenti al Ministero dell'Istruzione. DUO (Servizi Educativi) aveva chiesto le informazioni per scovare frodi sulla tariffa di base richiesta da parte di studenti che forniscono dati sbagliati sui loro indirizzi di casa. Translink ha violato la politica per cui i dati di viaggio possono essere trasmessi a terzi solo su richiesta di un procuratore. Lo scorso maggio, un giudice aveva stabilito che DUO ha violato le regole sulla privacy con tali pratiche.
