L'Electronic Privacy Information Center (EPIC), con sede a Washington, D.C., si è costituito parte civile di fronte alla Corte Europea dei Diritti Umani nel caso sulla sorveglianza di massa e cooperazione transatlantica tra servizi di intelligence. Il caso riguarda un ricorso contro il Regno Unito presentato da varie associazioni di tutto il mondo, le quali affermano che i servizi segreti britannici e statunitensi violano la loro privacy e libertà di espressione.
