Molti comuni olandesi chiedono a psicologi infantili e psicoterapeuti di inviare tramite mail non protette informazioni confidenziali, come il nome e l'indirizzo di un minore, la durata del trattamento e - in alcuni casi - dettagli sanitari. In base all'articolo 13 della Legge Olandese sulla Protezione dei Dati Personali, da quest'anno i comuni responsabili dell'assistenza ai minori, sono tenuti a trasmettere questi dati in maniera sicura. Esiste un sistema comunicativo sicuro per lo scambio di mail tra operatori sanitari, il Municipal Hub, ma non è ancora operativo in tutti i comuni.
