Spain's prime minister has said the country will take in a rescue ship stranded in the Mediterranean, helping to defuse a tense situation in Italy and avoid a humanitarian catastrophe. Pedro Sánchez's pledged "safe harbor" to the Aquarius, which has been holding in international waters after Italy refused to allow the ship - and the 629 migrants on board - entrance to its ports. Sánchez has said the ship will dock in Valencia.
