Five apartments have been made available in Turin for people who have been forced to move due to their sexual orientation. The project is being organised by the Quore Association and is supported by private sponsors and governmental institutions. This is an example of a wider trend. The Mediterranean regions first ever LGBT centre will soon start operating in southern Italy, in a building confiscated from a criminal organisation, an initiative that is being run by Rain Arcigay Caserta onlus. Also, a B&B specialising in the reception of LGBT people has just opened in Bologna.
