The new Polish prime minister says his government will continue discussions with the European Commission (EC) to solve ongoing rule of law issues. Mateusz Morawiecki said he hopes the two sides will be "making progress" by the end of February. Poland has been at odds with the EU after overhauling its judicial system, which the EC says undermines the rule of law and goes against European values.
