"This February the government started to work, but the month was also marked with the deterioration of public political communication. The democratic standards [...] are showing the same tendencies," notes a new report by GONG, a Croatian civil society organization that oversees elections. Also, the Croatian president published an open letter in which she responded to a letter of a Serb minority MP, in which he expressed his concern regarding "an atmosphere of intolerance" and said that an increasing number of public figures and organizations were threatened. She didn't denounce the threats.
