Once again the bill for the introduction of the crime of torture in Italy's penal code is at risk of being stopped in the final parliamentary phases. The Senate asked the heads of the country’s law enforcements agencies for their opinions, and they said that the bill should be rewritten so as to minimize the risk of false complaints against law officers.
