The government of Poland has presented its draft law on free legal aid and access to legal information. The act, first announced by Polish Prime Minister Ewa Kopacz during her exposé, will be a novelty in Polish law. The Helsinki Foundation for Human Rights gave a mixed reaction to the draft law: "HFHR supports the idea of regulating the issue of free legal aid and access to legal information in terms of law provisions, but at the same time we wish to express our critical assessment of individual provisions introduced in the draft law."
