The European Court of Human Rights found violations of Article 3 (prohibition of inhuman and degrading treatment) and Article 14 (prohibition of discrimination) of the European Convention on Human Rights in the case of Abdu v. Bulgaria. The case concerns a racist attack in Sofia in 2007 by skinheads against two Sudanese nationals living in Bulgaria. The prosecution refused to investigate the case.
