An alliance of NGOs addressed Polish President Andrzej Duda with a request to work on an amendment to the Criminal Code that repeals the criminality of insulting the president. Soon after the alliance made its stand, the Ministry of Justice disclosed that a legal proposal for repealing that crime is in preparation. The same question was also recently discussed among the MPs of the Sejm (lower house of Parliament), who presented a legal proposal that contains similar language.
