The number of identified victims of labor
trafficking has increased in every European country monitored twice by the Council
of Europe, according to a new report. The human rights body says that men
working in hospitality, fisheries and agriculture are at greatest risk of
exploitation. Labor exploitation has overtaken sex trafficking as the primary
form of human trafficking in a number of European countries, and migrant workers
are particularly at risk of exploitation. The Council of Europe calls European countries to prosecute traffickers and to
improve monitoring by cooperating with NGOs.
