The Belgian minister of justice, Koen Geens, wants to assess which imams are active in the country and to which mosque they are tied. The executive body that represents Muslims in Belgium would need to aid in this regard by providing all necessary information to the State Security Service. Geens made the comments during the TV program Terzake, after it became public that the alleged brain behind the terrorist attacks in Catalonia had links to Belgium, had stayed there and had been active in the Youssef mosque in Diegem.
