'Sapfo Fest' è il primo film festival indipendente dei paesi Baltici nato per a tema LBTQI. Sullo sfondo di atteggiamenti omofobici profondamente radicati e pesanti restrizioni alla libertà di espressione, il festival offre un programma educativo diversificato - dagli istituti psichiatrici dell'era sovietica per le lesbiche ai diritti per gli LBTQI – con l'obiettivo di promuovere l'apprendimento, e uno spazio condiviso e rispettoso di tutti.
