Il Comitato Olandese di Giuristi per i Diritti umani (NJCM) si è congratulato con la giudice Jolien Schukking - membro dell'NJCM fin dal 1997 - per la sua nomina a giudice olandese presso la Corte Europea dei Diritti Umani. Jolien Schukking è anche membro del Collegio di Raccomandazioni dell'NJCM e direttore del Dutch Journal for Human Rights. NJCM ritiene che la tutela dei diritti umani in Europa sia in buone mani con lei. La sessione plenaria del Consiglio d'Europa ha nominato la Schukking il 24 gennaio 2017, con ben 104 voti su 179.
