Il ministro tedesco della famiglia ha inaugurato un organismo di monitoraggio della Convenzione ONU sui Diritti del Bambino, all'interno dell'Istituto Tedesco per i Diritti Umani. L'organismo verificherà in che misura la Convenzione è implementata in Germania e svilupperà soluzioni e nuove idee per risolvere i problemi. Consiglierà politici, autorità, scuole e molti altri su come perseguire meglio gli obiettivi della Convenzione ONU, che garantisce la protezione, promozione e partecipazione dei diritti dei bambini. La Convenzione è in vigore in Germania dal 2010.
