Volunteers Go to Greece to Help, Learn and Explore

What drives volunteers to help refugees across Europe? Besides the desire to help people, many are driven by their own curiosity, a desire to learn, and a thirst for adventure.

Hungarian volunteers are working with both large and local volunteer organizations and activist groups aiming to help the refugees in several European countries.

Besides feeling solidarity towards the refugees and anger towards the incapable political elites, many of them are driven by curiosity, the need to learn and understand things, and also by a sense of adventure.

Some of them have already been doing some kind of volunteer work for several years, while others decided to get involved when they saw the depressing situation develop before their very eyes. What links most of the volunteers together and what makes them capable members of the same well-functioning groups is their endurance and proactivity.
