The 2015 CILD Award for the 'Researcher' category went to Emmanuele Jannini and Giacomo Ciocca.
The Italian Coalition for Civil Rights and Freedoms (CILD) is happy to announce that this Friday, December 16, 2016, the ceremony to award the winners of the second edition of the CILD Award for Civil Liberties will occur, presented under the slogan “The liberties of others are also your rights!"

The list of the winners is still secret and will be revealed only on Friday. The candidates could be nominated by anyone via email or twitter, accompanied by a brief justification for the nomination. It was necessary to choose a category for each candidate nominated for the award. The categories were the following:

  • Young Activist
  • Collective Voice
  • Civil Servant
  • Lawyer
  • Researcher
  • Journalist
  • Teacher
  • Athlete
  • Creative Person
  • Lifetime Achievement

The jury was made up of CILD’s board of directors and three external judges. All the candidatures were evaluated and examined and the winners will take part in an awards ceremony.

Some of the winners are ordinary people and organizations whose extraordinary work – still vastly unknown by the general public – shows that "the liberty of others are your rights."

The awards will be given by very important Italian and international guests, who are deeply linked to several human rights causes. The award ceremony will take place at 19:00 at the Impact Hub Milano in Via Aosta 4, Milano.

Will you be there?
