The conference “Armed drones: how to control them?”, organized by Controllarmi and Archivio Disarmo, took place on November 24. Fabrizio Battistelli, president of Archivio Disarmo, and Francesco Vignarca of Rete Disarmo opened the conference by discussing how drones can be used to civil and military ends. Maurizio Simoncelli, vice-president of Archivio Disarmo, analyzed issues arising from military use of drones. Vincenzo Camporini, vice-president of the Istituto Affari Internazionali, focused on Italian foreign policy in this field. Other journalists and experts also gave input.
