A new mandatory online program to tackle sexual exploitation and abuse was announced recently by the United Nations for all uniformed and civilian personnel. The program is part of the international organization's wider effort to implement a series of corrective and preventive measures, following a number of allegations of such misconduct, including within the ranks of its peacekeepers. The new program complements the pre-deployment training that member states are currently responsible for providing.
