The Dutch Supreme Court decided on December 22, 2015, that arrested suspects in the Netherlands have the right for assistance from an attorney during a police interrogation. Until now, adults under suspect of a crime were only entitled to speak with an attorney prior to a police interrogation. They should be implemented as of March 1, 2016.
