Various entities, including Rights International Spain, have met with the Spanish ombudswoman to present a report detailing their arguments for ruling the Citizen Security and Public Safety Act unconstitutional, in order to persuade her to appeal to the Constitutional Court in this regard. The law violates, among other rights, the freedoms of expression, information and assembly, as well as the rights of refugees and migrants. Various parliamentary groups of the opposition have already presented an appeal that echoes many of the arguments posed by the NGOs.
