An investigating judge of the Spanish National Court has decided to close a case concerning a flight from Macedonia to Kabul that was transporting an alleged victim of CIA torture. The plane landed in Palma de Mallorca and then continued to Macedonia, where it picked up the detainee before flying on to Kabul. After eight years of investigation, the judge has determined that, even if there is evidence that the flight stopped in Spain and that its crew members were holding forged documents, it is impossible to positively identify these individuals. This decision can be appealed.
