According to a survey published this February, 80 percent of religious minority communities in Lithuania feel discriminated against, with the primary factor being the Roman Catholic Church. Many respondents claimed that society perceives them to be sectarians, with their religious communities being sects. Among the respondents were members of the Word of Faith, Baptist, Seventh Day Adventist, New Generation Church, ancient Baltic faiths and other communities. While around 920 religious communities are active in Lithuania, over 77 percent of Lithuanians self-identify as Roman Catholic.
