Belgium's prime minister has given the green light to a project that will make it possible, from July 2018, to place families with children, who refuse to leave the national territory, in detention centers, inside special sections for families. Belgium has already been convicted three times by the European Court of Human Rights for violating the Convention on Human Rights, which prohibits inhuman and degrading treatment, including detaining families and their children in closed centers.
