The Article 29 Data Protection Working Party, which represents privacy watchdogs in all 28 EU member states, is following the recent developments of WhatsApp's privacy conditions with "extreme vigilance." From now on, WhatsApp will share data with Facebook. The Dutch Data Protection Authority questions two specifics. Users only read that WhatsApp wants to share their private phone number after they click on "read more" in the notification that requests permission for the new privacy conditions. There is also only a 30-day period for users to change their mind and not share their data.
