Over 100 Polish civil society organizations have publicly opposed the recently passed law on Holocaust remembrance. In an open letter, the groups state, "The act adopted by the Polish parliament, which provides for imprisonment for words; statements aimed at repressing Poles' participation in the Holocaust; ill-considered actions of politicians that evoke anti-Semitic moods - all this does not happen in our name."
The signatories call for unity around the truth about the Holocaust and say that Israel and Poland can only return to the path of reconciliation by embracing truth and solidarity.
