Two new judges, one from Hungary and one from the Netherlands, have been elected to the European Court of Human Rights. The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe yesterday elected Péter Paczolay, a judge on Hungary's Constitutional Court from 2006 to 2015, when the government made changes to the court, and Jolien Schukking, an experienced Dutch national judge currently in the Administrative High Court for Trade and Industry. Both new judges have been elected for a term of nine years and will being work in Strasbourg within three months.
