Two whistleblowers have been found guilty in the so-called LuxLeaks tax scandal and given suspended sentences. A French journalist also on trial was acquitted of all charges. Former PricewaterhouseCoopers employees Antoine Deltour and Raphael Halet received sentences of 12 and nine months, respectively, for leaking documents. Deltour, 31, was fined €1,500, while Halet, 40, received a fine of €1,000. Prosecutors had sought 18-month jail terms for both of them. Prosecutors argued that Edouard Perrin, the journalist, had exceeded his bounds by pressuring Halet into handing over the documents.
