Another demonstration was held on July 25 to remember and bring justice for Giulio Regeni, an Italian student who went missing in Egypt in January. He was found dead, with obvious signs of torture on his body. The candlelight vigil was organized by CILD, Antigone and Amnesty International in order to raise awareness to the lack of justice, forced disappearances and torture the is routinely practiced in Egypt. The truth, however, is still not known, even 6 months since the disappearance of Giulio. The Egyptian authorities are still in denial and refuse to collaborate with Italian prosecutors.
