After the Hungarian election, the witch hunt against civil society continues. Ahead of the election, the government spoke of 2,000 enemies of Hungary working for the Soros empire. As a follow-up, pro-government weekly Figyelő published an article with a list of NGO employees. Our member the Hungarian Civil Liberties Union is listed, as are the Hungarian Helsinki Committee and the investigative journalism group Direkt36. According to media reports, there were even names of descended people. Critics of the list compare it with the dark past when totalitarian regimes created lists of enemies.
