In June, the first edition of the European Games will be held in Baku. Meanwhile, there are over 100 human rights activists imprisoned in Azerbaijan. In January, Coca-Cola became on of the official sponsors of the Baku games. Organizations conducting the campaign "Sport for Rights" sent a letter to Coca-Cola in which they pointed out that by financial involvement, the company exposes itself to potential complicity in human rights violations. In response, Coca-Cola announced that it did not provide financial support for the organization of the European Games and only supplied its products.
