Women's and human rights organizations in Germany have formed the CEDAW-Alliance in order to compile a shadow report until 2017 about the implementation of the UN Women's Rights Convention (Convention on the Elimination of all forms of Discrimination against Women, CEDAW) in Germany. The National Council of German Women's Organizations coordinates the endeavor. The alternative report will refer to Germany's current state report published last summer. The CEDAW-Alliance will grasp the opportunity to play a part in the ongoing UN review process on Germany's implementation of CEDAW.
