The Spanish National Court has sentenced 12 rappers of the collective 'La Insurgencia' to two years in prison for the crime of glorifying terrorism. The court examined the lyrics of their songs in YouTube and concluded that they glorify GRAPO (a terrorist organisation no longer in existence) and its members. However, one of the Magistrates issued a dissenting opinion, stating her strong disagreement with the majority's opinion because she believes the defendants sought notoriety, not the glorification of terrorism. The decision has been appealed to the Supreme Court.
